Dorothy M. Thomas

Died on February 10,
2009, San Diego, CA, at the age of 79.
Dorothy and her husband Russell, formerly of
Dorothy was a
longtime BCA member and held offices in the Bulldog Club of Greater San Diego
and The Pacific Coast Bulldog Club. She was an avid exhibitor and a gifted
owner-handler of the breed, dating back to her childhood when she began showing
her first pet Bulldog in 1936.
Later, Dorothy became
a frequent specialty show breeder-judge, who was approved by the AKC to judge
Bulldogs for 25 years. A highlight of her judging career included Intersex competition at the 1987 Bulldog Club of America
National Specialty show at
Dorothy is survived
by her husband, three children and eight grandchildren.
